Most of my art for landofart gets posted at theartshow, but seeing as this challenge focused only on White Collar I thought I'd put in on my journal in case my flist wanted some Neal pics to end their day with!

The challenge was to take screencaps from different scenes and enhance them. It gave me the chance to experiment with some different colourings which was fun (and varied in success)! Most of the caps are from 3x10 and 3x11.

The original caps are first, the edited caps come after, and all are thumbnails which should enlarge to 1280x720. If you want anything converting to icon/banner etc let me know. (And there's two whumped!Neal caps :D)

It was only a matter of time before an icon post came up. The episode was just fantastic.

Only 15 icons because I don't have time for more.

I have been reading this book Thinking with Type by Ellen Lupton and it is fascinating. The book starts with a historical overview of typography and I've learned why italics were introduced and how some of the most well known fonts came into existence. For instance, John Baskerville was a printer whose typefaces were considered amateurish and "...blinding all the Readers in the Nation." (Lupton 16)

I've had this book for a while and I can't believe that I just started reading it. Lo and behold when I check my rss feed this morning, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer has a post about a video on the history of typography. It's really neat and I think you should definitely check it out!

Join universe_the. Believe me, it's not your typical landcomm.

From the Welcome post:
"The idea behind this community is to combine the best things about land comms with some other fun things about fandom and being on the internet. Think land comm on a larger scale, a comm with more diversity of possibilities."
The four teams are: Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
(But you want to join Fire because that's where I am!)
Application post is this way.

There are multiple side-comms as well. You don't have to join all of them, but there is one for everything you like: art, fic, puzzles, games, battles, etc. There's a comm for the main challenges (landcomm type), but you can get point on the side-comms as well. So really, you can do whatever you like.

"But I have no time."
No worries! You can't be cut. The worse that can happen is for you to fall in the inactive users list. At which point, you stay in your team, you just don't count in the total of members. As soon as you have time, participate in something, and you'll be back on the active users list.

Phase 1 officially starts June 1st, but there are a few things already running.
